How a call goes
- Allow your microphone. Your browser asks once. The camera is never used.
- Press Start. We find someone else who's waiting to talk.
- Say hello. Mute when you need to, type if the line is bad.
- Hang up with Next. Or Esc. Someone new is on the line in seconds.
Your voice, your call
- Mute any time. The other person just hears silence.
- Not recorded. Calls are not saved anywhere.
- Text on the side. Spell out a word or share a song title in the chat box.
- Report and leave. Abusive callers get reviewed and blocked. House rules
Listener questions
Does the other person see me?
No. VibeAudio never turns on your camera. The other person only hears your voice and reads anything you type.
Do I need headphones?
They help a lot. Without them the other person can hear an echo of themselves. Earbuds with a mic are perfect.
Are calls recorded?
No. Calls go directly between the two browsers where possible, or through a relay server when your network needs one, and they're not recorded.
Can I mute myself?
Yes. Mute and unmute at any time during a call. The other person sees nothing change except the silence.
How do I end a call?
Press Next to talk to someone new, or Stop to end and leave. Esc on a keyboard works as Next.
What if someone says something awful?
Hang up with Next, then press Report if they broke the rules. Moderators review every report and block people who harass others.
